I don’t know about you, but I’m feeling a bit banjaxed at the moment. My feet hurt (so they’re up) my eyes hurt (so I’m getting new glasses for working at the computer) and my shoulder is twinging (so I’m off to the physio).
I was in a mood about it for days and then yesterday I remembered: just write it out.
So I did.
By hand, into my journal, putting all the crap in my head onto the page.
Here I can whinge and moan and be generally unpleasant if I want to, and nobody else has to see it and I can feel all the better for getting my crabbiness out of me.
As soon as I thought of it, it felt like exhaling, and I felt relieved. I hadn’t journaled in a while and I’d forgotten how comforting and strengthening it could feel. It always feels like time for me; to check in and figure out how I'm really doing...
And then I had a lil dance to Taylor Swift in the kitchen.
We’ve all been cooped up waaay too much this Winter (will it EVER go away!) And we have to mind ourselves...So just write it out. Dance it out. Get it out.
And here’s a link to Ms Swift’s Shake It Off if you need a boppy tune for a dance break in your kitchen.
Have a great day!
